Our Story
Julie Anne’s Granola was started as a result of my quest to create the “perfect granola.” Yes, it’s a lofty goal to set, but I love the challenge of maintaining that standard with each and every addictive batch!
You could say that Julie Anne’s Granola started in 2004, when I owned a small specialty foods store in Henderson, Nevada. Unable to find a line of granola that I really felt good about selling to our customers, I decided to create one of my own (which proved to be no easy task!)
My “perfect granola” criteria were fairly straightforward: all-natural ingredients, lots of crunchy clusters for snacking, and vibrant flavors that made my tastebuds say “WOW!”
After much trial and error, my Sweet Citrus Granola was created, featuring vanilla and orange flavors inspired by a creamsicle, my favorite childhood treat. We initially sold the granola only as a menu item, but after multiple requests from customers, Julie Anne’s Sweet Citrus Granola was available by the pound (and it flew off the shelves!) Further encouragement led me to create special packaging and to develop new flavors, such as our increasingly popular Maple Blueberry and our newest, Tropical Bliss.
